Software Architect
Join PREZIS
If you want to shape the software architecture behind advanced Counter-UAS systems and turn complex sensor technologies into reliable, integrated defense solutions, we encourage you to apply.
PREZIS operates within the defense industry and focuses on advanced solutions in the fields of Counter-UAS (C-UAS), Electronic Warfare (EW), Predictive Analysis, and Precision Strike. In a rapidly evolving international environment, we work every day on technologies that truly matter.
As PREZIS continues to develop its Counter-UAS capabilities, we are looking for a Software Architect to take technical ownership of the software architecture behind our sensor integration, sensor fusion, tracking, and geolocation capabilities.
Job Description
As Software Architect – Counter-UAS & Sensor Fusion, you define and develop the software architecture that connects sensors, data processing, tracking, and Command & Control (C2) within PREZIS’ Counter-UAS platforms.
You design how heterogeneous sensors — including radar, optical, acoustic, and other specialized or military-grade sensing systems — integrate into our software ecosystem. You define interfaces, data flows, and software components that allow sensor information to be processed, correlated, fused, and translated into a reliable operational picture.
This is not a purely architectural role. You remain close to the technology and contribute hands-on to critical software components, prototypes, integrations, and technical validation. You work closely with software engineers, technical specialists, and external technology partners to make architectural decisions that are technically robust, scalable, and practical in real-world operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
Software Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Define and evolve the software architecture for PREZIS’ Counter-UAS sensor integration, fusion, tracking, and geolocation capabilities.
- Translate operational and system requirements into clear software architectures, interfaces, components, and data flows.
- Make architectural decisions regarding modularity, scalability, performance, reliability, and interoperability.
- Establish technical standards and design principles that support the long-term development of PREZIS’ software platforms.
- Guide engineers on architectural choices and review technical designs and implementations.
Sensor Integration & System Design
- Define and develop the architecture for integrating third-party sensors, including military-grade sensing payloads, into PREZIS’ platforms.
- Design robust interfaces between radar, optical, acoustic, RF, and other sensor systems and PREZIS’ processing and C2 software.
- Ensure interoperability between sensors, processing components, external systems, and Command & Control applications.
- Evaluate new sensor technologies and determine how they can be incorporated into the existing software architecture.
Sensor Fusion, Tracking & Geolocation
- Architect and contribute to software components for multi-sensor fusion, tracking, track association, state estimation, and geolocation.
- Guide the implementation and optimization of algorithms such as Kalman filtering and spatial coordinate transformations.
- Define how heterogeneous sensor data is correlated and fused into a consistent operational picture.
- Analyze system and sensor performance and translate findings into architectural and algorithmic improvements.
Software Development & Engineering
- Contribute hands-on to critical software components and prototypes using C++, Rust, and Python.
- Work within Linux-based environments using technologies such as ROS2, Docker, and relevant development frameworks.
- Design modular and maintainable software components suitable for real-time and mission-critical applications.
- Support engineering teams in solving complex integration, performance, and system-level challenges.
Testing, Validation & Technical Development
- Define testing and validation approaches for software architecture, sensor integrations, and fusion capabilities.
- Support laboratory and field testing under realistic operational conditions.
- Analyze test results and use findings to improve architecture, algorithms, and system performance.
- Collaborate with internal specialists, customers, and technology partners to evaluate new capabilities and technical approaches.
- Maintain clear technical documentation covering architectures, interfaces, design decisions, and system behavior.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong professional experience in software engineering, including responsibility for software architecture or complex system design.
- Strong programming skills in C++, Rust, Python, or a combination of these languages.
- Experience designing modular, scalable, and maintainable software architectures for complex technical systems.
- Knowledge of sensor fusion, tracking, state estimation, signal processing, or multi-sensor systems.
- Understanding of algorithms and mathematical concepts such as Kalman filtering, track association, and spatial coordinate transformations.
- Strong experience working with Linux-based development environments.
- Ability to translate complex system requirements into clear architectural and technical decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a pragmatic and hands-on engineering mindset.
- Ability to provide technical direction while working effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written.
- Preferred: Experience with ROS2, Docker, distributed or real-time systems; integration of radar, optical, acoustic, or RF sensors; development of tracking or geolocation systems; experience in robotics, autonomous systems, defense, aerospace, or Counter-UAS applications.
